Apologies for the lack of blogs on Tuesday and Wednesday...I was away from school due to illness.
Reminders:
Remembrance Day assembly at 10:30 (Time was adjusted) Nov 9
Social local gov test tomorrow! Friday Nov 9
Student involved conferences Nov 22 & 23
Book Fair Nov 20-23
Dress as your Favourite Book Character Day Nov 29
Today the students began their day with music. It is always nice to see the students working together playing their instruments each time I pick them up from music.
After music we completed our bi-weekly basic facts math quiz. I am very happy to report our class average was 75%. Some practice is still needed with multiplication and division of decimals but that is why we practice!
After math we spent some time finishing our poppies for the Remembrance Day assembly tomorrow at 10:30. The remainder of the block was spent practicing Kahoot quizzes for our Social Quiz tomorrow. Remember, its never too late to study! Kahoot.com Search local government.
In the afternoon students were introduced to the first elements of story writing! We focused on the six types of conflict that can be found within stories and made small comic strips to showcase these.
The end of the day was rounded off with some additional Kahoot quizzes for some last minute studying for the quiz tomorrow.
Have a nice evening
