This week:
LA: The giver novel study and Narrative story feedback.
Math: Patterns (Input/output machines)
Science: Air and aerodynamics poster
Social: Federal Government: Structure and Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Today I sent home the provincial government unit test which I expect to be handed in tomorrow signed. If a student has failed they will be given the opportunity rewrite a version of the test on Thursday.
Thank you to all the students and parents that braved the cold and made it into school today!
Today several students wrote their basic fact and word problems quizzes. We will have the rest of the students write the quiz tomorrow and mark it.
In Social we did an overview of our next unit: Federal Government and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We talked about the structure of Federal Government to see how it relates to local and provincial. Tomorrow we will be talking about the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms and how it is embedded in the Canadian Constitution.
Students were given a big chunk of time at the end of the day today to work on science projects!
Have a wonderful evening, stay warm, and get those tests signed and returned :)
