Today the students began their day by practicing their basic facts. Four questions of x-+/ to keep their skills sharp!
After the basic facts we moved into solving some ratio identification problems. Ratios are great because of the amount of critical outside the box thinking students must use. Below is a picture of the intro activity we solved:
In LA, students were given a mini lesson on DAD (Dialogue, Description, Action) and how it is the essence of creating great paragraphs in stories. The first draft of the stories is due Monday and we will be working hard on them this coming Thursday and Friday.
In Social the students learned the process of how laws are formed in provincial government and the responsibilities of the lieutenant governor. Students were also introduced to a new project in which they must research political parties and convince their classmates to vote for their campaign poster.
