Happy short week Thursday!
Reminders:
No school tomorrow or Monday
Spelling Sentences due next Friday
Spelling Test next Friday
Social City Project due Tuesday Oct 9
LA Journal entry due next week
Today students had a busy day as usual!
After our morning music students immediately dove into our September Math Quiz
I was testing the students on all the concepts covered in September including: addition, subtraction, multiplication and place value. After writing the test we spent the rest of the morning correcting and reviewing the test. I am happy to report that the marks were quite good for this test! Great work room 14!
In the afternoon, students had Science in Mr Mueller covered the question:
"How do plants and living organisms interact in each layer of the forest?"
Students explore this concept as a class with Mr Mueller using library books, computers and videos.
We wrapped up our day with some time to work on our Social City Project. This project is due Tuesday Oct 9 (Next week). If students do not have the write up and city map complete on Tuesday they will be in at every recess and lunch until it is done. I cannot stress enough the importance of completing work with the best effort and finishing homework before it is due.
Cannot wait to see all the amazing city maps and models on Tuesday!
They are still taking registrations as it was cancelled this week and an additional week will be added.

Boost Athletic – After School Sports Programs
We’d like to invite all students to our After School Soccer Program at Beddington Heights School!
Boost is excited to be offering our 2nd program at Beddington Heights School! For the 2018 Fall Season, we will be offering Soccer. The programs are led by Boost Athletic founder Andrew Fleming and our sport-specific technical staff. All kids are eligible to join, whether they already play or not! We’d love to see new faces out on the field! Our program cost is $50 for each 6 week program and financial assistance is available for those who are in need, we will not turn any kids away because of cost!
If you are interested, please register online to hold your place at www.boostathletic.ca. All students must register online, but payment can be made on the first day via either cash, cheque or debit/credit through our mobile card readers. If you require financial assistance, please email andrew.fleming@boostathletic.ca after registration and indicate that it is required.
Each program has limited places for the Outdoor Season. We will limit programs to the first 30 registrations.
