LA:
Students have been hard at work for the last week creating poems for their Poetry Anthology.
The Anthology good copy is due on Friday. I am expecting 6-8 typed/hand written poems submitted in a book/magazine/catalogue. The poems should have a theme and an illustration to go with them. I recommend students do a title page and table of contents to keep their work looking neat and organized. In keeping with grade six writing there is also an expectation for students to use literary devices wherever possible in their poems. Below are some examples:
Math:
In Math students are developing their understanding of multiplication of decimals. We build up computation skills to assist with word problems solving skills. Below are some examples of questions we will see.
Also, visit Math Antics or Mathletics for helpful tips and practice!
Social:
We will be covering three essential questions about government that the students must know for their exam. These will be posted to the blog tomorrow.
Science:
Students are currently learning about the nutrient cycle and the importance of photosynthesis. These concepts are the building blocks for their upcoming project!
